About Helderberg Social

The Helderberg has hundreds of clubs, groups, markets and meet-ups, and almost all of them live in scattered Facebook groups, WhatsApp chats and noticeboards. This site puts them in one searchable place.

What you'll find here

• Groups & clubs you can join: running, cycling, sailing, service clubs, residents' associations.
• Regular activities anyone can turn up to: parkrun, markets, coached sessions.
• Places worth knowing: beaches, reserves, parks, trail centres, estates.
• Events with a date, each with an add-to-calendar button.

Verified vs unverified

Every listing carries one of two badges. Verified means a person has confirmed the details with the organiser or against their official page recently. Unverified means the listing was compiled from public sources and has not been confirmed yet. Treat unverified times and prices as a starting point, not a promise.

We never publish phone numbers or email addresses unless the organiser has asked us to. Where a listing has a website or social page, that is the place to confirm details.

Add or fix a listing

Listings are free. Use the submission form for a new group, activity, place or event, or the change form if something here is wrong or has stopped running.

Coverage

Somerset West, Strand, Gordon's Bay and Sir Lowry's Pass Village, plus the mountains, estates and coastline between them. Things in Stellenbosch, Grabouw or Macassar are included when Helderberg residents routinely go to them.

Independence

This is a community directory, not a booking platform. We do not take payment for listings, do not sell placements, and link out to organisers rather than sitting between you and them.
